For more than 15 years, Oily’s Pub has been a cherished part of the Western Lake District’s dining scene. Set in a historic building that’s been a public house for over a century, Oily’s continues the legacy of the legendary Oily Johnnie, a former landlord known for selling paraffin oil beside the inn. Reimagined by Chef Patron Warwick Muir in 2008, Oily’s blends timeless British flavors with a touch of Mediterranean inspiration. Every dish is crafted fresh to order using the finest locally sourced Cumbrian ingredients.
